Battle Realms + WOTW

When I run BR I see only black screen with no errors. I have latest drivers for my 9800GTX+. I have this problem in Crysis too. On Vista Ultimate 64bit everything works fine.

I solved this problem changing resulution of my monitor, but in the game when I click on Kenji and right click somewhere on the ground game lags and sometimes crashes. So I just installed BR on my Windows 7 64. The game runs smoothly for some time, and then for some random reason, which I don't think is really that random, the game closes with an error on Battle_Realms_F.exe

I manage to control the error situation in that Kenji campaign, right in the beggining if I double click the ground the game crashes, it also crashed in some other places which I haven't managed to find a pattern.

My video card is a GeForce 8400 GS and I've already downloaded the latest driver. I also downloaded the 2shared BR from someone's signature in this forum. I also tried running it in compatibility mode. In short, I did everything the other topics related to Windows 7 told me to do, and I wonder if this is an easy fix or if I'm badly screwed.

Its a Stand Alone Map. This map is meant to be played with Kill The Keep mod!!!!
The bes settings are
Starting Army - Large
Starting Resourses - High
Horses - Low
Population - Low
Rice Growth Rate - Fast
Yin/Yang - Normal

It is important to be with such settings for best gameplay. There is building placement for only some huts, keep, healer building and if theres place 1 warrior building. Its all about gaining Yin/Yang summon Heroes and destroyng keeps for more building placement. There are 4 arenas of the 4 elements FIRE WATER EARTH and WIND. And theres a central arena where the last battles are ment to determain the best player. There are monsters on the beaches that wait for slaughter, theyr for getting your first Yin/Yang points. The Low population is to make the game more like a Lord challenge mod. Thats what the map is meant for. Enjoy.
And BTW building on the beaches wont be very smart.

He can call horses for all of his stamina yupiii ( only works when there are actually horses on the map or in the enemy's stables )
He is immune to height advantages yupiii he won't die from the shale lord... fast lol

His cost is redicilous.... I dont remember his water, but the rice was about 500 and 2 YANG POINTS !!!!
Does idiotic piercing damage even with 10 yang points!!! and even on a horseback !!!!!!!
Has the same weaknesses as Otomo and sams --> He cannot be good as a tank
He costs almost as much as Grayback, then again Grayback at least is good for something, like killing units boosting allies and razing buildings....
Garrin is good only for dying...
His speech is not that good

Yellow circles flashing for a part of the second around an unit, weak on explossive struck by a musketeer (samurai balistamen deseased etc) ???? I posted this elswhere, but I put it here as well...

A little bit to that... is it normal for a samurai to loose about 25% of his hp on 1 shot by a musk despite his weakness, and dragon archer for instance who is NOT highly resistant to explossive to loose about 10% of his hp, assuming that samurai have about 200% more hp than archer ..... If those calculation are right, which may not be... It seems that musk do 5 times more damage to samurai rather than an archer. And even with Poor armor on something the max damage bonus was 50% right ? it is not like 500% ....... NO height advantage included

[Hidden bonus dmg to the innate bonus to the weak of explossive perphaps ????? Leaving you to think...]

Unlean's attack ??? What kind is it??? The BR table says magic.... well Why do they crush buildings like nothing ???? magic dmg doesn't pwn buildings... Ask the kabuki or deseased one lol

The serpent tower's BG dismounts nearby enemy horse units.... It is also unannounced.


Mounted ronin kills serpent peasent with 4 blows... it is true that mounted units recieve bonus damage, but for ronin it seems like more bonus dmg.

[Bigger bonus damage for ronin when he is mounted, or just compensating because he uses only one sword ?]

One more thing... What I know about BR is that good tanks do not come with a LOT of HP ... they come with a lot of resistances and ronin isn't such a unit... It is true that with the reinforced plate he is strong on pierce and blunt, and naturally on cutting but explosives and magic and fire is just too much for him to handle... so what kind of a tank is he while he cannot withstand any backline fire ???? Pack master is a hundred times better tank... So the argument about the strong ronin made by Blood bond is stupid either...

Other argument is to summon Budo and blood bond ronins to him to make them powerful... This is true as far as it goes, but Budo is not for free you must give 1 yin for him and 250 rice, 250 water if I remember right, so the price is too high for creating a lil bit of a tougher ronin...

Ronin has two purposes in battle:
1) Use yin blade to drink stamina and create Yin [also inflict magic dmg]
2) Send him to die, so he can boost your army and slow the enemy...[The slow from the cursed swords greatly helps your macro with your ranged units !!!]
3) Does good damage when he is mounted.

So who the fuck wants a tougher ronin ???? What for ?

This is a tricky one. The center of the map is at 50 Height and its like a big hill. To win you must 1st take controll of the enemy hills. The you can think out how to brake through the enemy defences which is the hard part here. Its all about the Higher ground advantage.

This map is a Request by Hanzo00000.
Its somthing like in the movie LOTR at Helm`s Deep.
Its a very hard map though, really hard even for pro`s. Its a 1vs7 or 2vs6 map. Ofcorse the team at the fortress hasbig advantages, but vs 240 warlocks or berserkers or cannos, snipers, its kinda hopeless situation.

Okay, here it is: the most epic-looking map ever (well, there is no way i can be sure; but i have putted piles of effort into this thing, so...). Its finished, but (probably) still needs some minor changes and fixes. So, please tell me about anything that really bad or wrong about it's appearance. If i will find your complains trueful and significant, i ll definetly try to do all necessary changes . And yes, i know that Ye Ol' Land looks rather like piece of worldmaster art than actual map . This is my mapping style, so nothing can be done here. Still, map is completly playable, it can be used for 2v2 or free for all gaming.

p.s. Remember, battles are great, then surroundings are breathtaking. Take a look; some installations that this map have are quite impressive, at least for more liking.

Some days i just log on to play 1vs1 but i dont find any willing players...

The only people who never say no to 1vs1 me is cp & sora...

Other players are too team co-ordinated, sure there very good players in team games
but when it comes to 1vs1 they suck because they dont know any effective strats...

1vs1 games u have no1 to rely on but yourself, so its a true test of your skills...

Thats why to me BR is getting boring because its become such a team associated game...

I always log in and host a 1vs1 game and invite every1 on my list to play but most of tha
time im left with an empty room...

Only reason i can think of is that there scared...

SO i conclude this with saying dont take BR so seriously, its just a game so go out there

It works on win7 too but has many discrepancies:
1. Display is not fullscreen gets compressed from sides. I tried adjusting my pc resolution settings but no luck.
2. Zymeth/Zymeth with orb, when rain BG is used..games becomes too slow...and hangs.

i tried compatibility settings and other options but none of them seems to work.
