1. High Tide (2).sam

Here is the description that normally comes with the map.

    High Tide (2).txt

It is a flooded coast region. All horses are in
the north east and in the center is a forest with
a small hill. There are some wolves. The map is
sourrounded by the sea in the west and in the
south and by mountains in the north and in the
east.

    +----<gameplay>-------------------------------------+
There is more than enough building space, but you
can only build at your start position and in the
north east. Because there is no natural shelter
turtling is barely possible and the battle is
decided by unit managing and good timed attacks.
You can always go arround towers, so most of the
defence is done with mobile units.

  2. Towers have always annoyed me. The most important changes the game needs is maps where you have to fight over resources and to decrease the amount of possible defensive structures. I have always hated towers.

  3. The rights to Battle Realms belong to the publisher, thus if there will be a new Battle Realms, it won't be done by Liquid Entertainment.

I think the rights fall back to them, though, after a couple of years. So maybe there's hope.

  4. I prefer a style where you have to fight over resources. This way becomes more focused on strategy and a little bit less on micro-management.

This is why I recommend Adurant to be played with the slow rice growth rate.

The maps that come with the game have way too large rice fields.
