Recommended Posts

Anybody have links on how to open this? I'd like to play this game: Darwinia.

There's a command line tool able to convert a DMG file to an ISO one.

You can download DMG2ISO from here:

http://vu1tur.eu.org/tools/

Once you have the ISO, you can either burn it with almost any CD burning application, or mount that image as a (virtual) drive with something like Daemon Tools, Vitual CD, etc., or directly see or extract files with other image utilities like CDMage.

that's for windows xp to make it iso:

dmg2iso.pl <filename.dmg> <filename.iso>

...so I'd assume that the Windows binary runs the same way. Try putting the .EXE file and .DMG file in the same folder then open a command prompt window and navigate to that folder and use the command above, substituting .EXE for .PL in the above. See if that works.

If it works for you then I must have made a mistake at an earlier step in the process.

I'm trying to set up PEARPC, that's why I'm trying to get this to work.

I seem to have discovered that there are 6 methods, now of which have worked for me, but work

For the record the big SIX are...

1. TRANSMAC 6.1, software made for exactly this job,

2. dmg2iso.pl in PERL also made just for this job,

3. Some wangle with Daemon Tools (mount .dmg to virtual drive thus

"Files of Type" -> "All Files *.*" -> Select .dmg to mount) then

extract or access

4. Recordnowmax 4.5

5. IsoBuster

6. MacDrive + Ultra ISO followed by Alcohol 120%

As I haven't got any of these to work I would appreciate a step by step, ABC Guide from anyone who has got lucky !!!

, make sure to convert the dmg file to iso so u can open-or extract that file(usually for downloading games u have to make then ISo, in order to run it
