If it wasnt there was gonna be a health upgrade for them. It all depends on what unit they fight with. Meny players say that maulers are very good but they suck vs crossbowmen. Its a fackt! and crossbows are very good for defending two! 2 crossbows a cannon a geisha and a bandit or two can defend real good vs at least 8-10 units!(With BG ofcorse).
