Ban log: A few people

I got an admin call to our popular dustbowl server today about a group of people repeatedly mic-spamming racist/homophobic stuff.  I joined the server and immediately heard 4 people all talking at once using homophobic and racial slurs.  I asked them both over chat and over the mic to please stop mic spamming (I don't care if people want to be racist, just don't disrupt the server with it by mic-spamming).  Their response was basically that it's not mic spamming if they're just friends having a conversation.

 

In addition to the person who called for admin, multiple other players in chat and on mic were also asking them to please shut up.  I gave the players another warning that if they don't quiet down with the mic stuff, that I will mute them.  One ([i.L.A.G] RSman30) continued to mic spam and so I muted him.  Then he immediately began to chat spam, while one of his friends ((KcK} Panda From State Farm) started calling me "bitch" and "cunt" and "whore" and other such things repeatedly over the mic.  I gagged the chat spammer and told the other person to please stop spamming names at me over the mic and that he's more than welcome to add me on steam for personal chats where he can call me all the names he wants.  He did not stop so I muted him as well.

 

Then one player ([i.L.A.G] RSman30) rejoined to remove his silenced status and went back to spamming.  I warned him that if he was trying to evade his mute that he would be banned.  Then I muted him again.  He rejoined a few more times and I issued a 1-day ban against him.  Then two of the other players ((KcK} Panda From State Farm and [Ktb} Paco Taco's Taco Shack) resumed their spamming and when they were muted, they rejoined the server to remove their silenced status, and went right back to spamming on the mic again.  Some other players initiated votekicks against them which passed, but they rejoined and continued to spam and harass and disrupt the server.  I warned each of them that if they couldn't cool their jets and just play without spamming, that they will be banned.  They cried admin abuse and threatened to report me.  I told them I'm sorry they feel that way and to visit LotusClan.com to report me if they felt like I was misusing my position.  They then continued their harassment and spam, so I issued a 1-day ban to one of them ((KcK} Panda From State Farm).  His friend ([Ktb} Paco Taco's Taco Shack) then kept rejoining the server in rapid succession, making it impossible to stop his spam via gag/mute and difficult to target his playerID in the ban command, so I grabbed his steamID and issued him a permaban for ban evasion as well as the disruption/micspam.

 

The fourth player ({Ḱ¢Ḱ} Ḱαηηḯ♭αℓ) who was a part of their group stopped spamming shortly after I joined and asked them to stop.  They did call me a few names here and there, but they weren't spamming it constantly like the other three, and it was nothing that I felt merited any action, so I neither silenced nor banned them, and they are free to continue to play on Lotus servers as of this time.

 

I will give my support for lifting the permaban if said player will first come here to explain themselves and make a genuine promise to not be so disruptive again.

jake from state farm (Panda from state farm) has been banned for 1 month for micspamming.  He already knew from this above instance that wasn't allowed to do so on our servers.  He also refused to stop when asked multiple times.
