h3gi 5 #76 Posted May 15, 2009 (edited) Hopefully it is, then a sniper will never have to worry about spies. 3 revolver shots and a Sniper's a goner. It should be replacing the Kukri as the melee weapon. I highly doubt this. Melee weapons are almost a must-have as a last resort retaliation when you run out of ammo. That almost never happens, I know, but I don't think Valve would do this to you. ...Unless you can attack with the shield. Rydawg 14 #78 Posted May 15, 2009 its not hard to kill a sniper riv. like hegi said, 3 shots of the pistol = dead and the revolver shots fast. not to mention about 100 other ways
FunkyFresh 68 #79 Posted May 15, 2009 Kritz+heavy=long range pain to a sniper XD
You suck and have no life 203 #80 Posted May 15, 2009 Have fun being slowed down by the shield, having some added protection against the spy just made it easier for everyone else to chase you down.
FunkyFresh 68 #81 Posted May 15, 2009 Wouldn't be all that bad, I s'pose. Definitely not if they give the sniper a boomerang with stun D:
h3gi 5 #82 Posted May 15, 2009 (edited) OH MY GOD. KEEP REFRESHING THE RAZORBACK PAGE. It looks like they changed it, if you refreshed the old Razorback page, this would randomly show up: THIS JUST IN http://www.teamfortress.com/spyupdate/english.htm Edited May 15, 2009 by h3gi

Spartan_0214 18 #84 Posted May 15, 2009 Kinda figured they'd bundle these together. Wasn't gonna call it though. With all the whining spies, I'm really not surprised. (Note to Spy Fans: None of the new spy weapons are going to make up for the anti-spy shield )
You suck and have no life 203 #85 Posted May 15, 2009 OH MY GOD.KEEP REFRESHING THE RAZORBACK PAGE. It looks like they changed it, if you refreshed the old Razorback page, this would randomly show up: THIS JUST IN http://www.teamfortress.com/spyupdate/english.htm The first one is useless. Anyone whos played TFC knows to check the kill at the top right hand corner of the screen. I always shoot until I see the person's name shows up as dead. Rivanor 1 #86 Posted May 15, 2009 Both the unlocks look awesome to me. We'll see whether it shows a death message or not. The infinite cloak unlock makes maps like 2fort actually viable for spies, not that I would play that awful map. Also it makes egypt better for spies too (egypt 3, final point). Heck, it makes dustbowl better for spies too. <3 <3 <

I always shoot until I see the person's name shows up as dead. Yeah, I do this too. In UT3 I make sure to gib any corpses I see if I can help it. It's a good mechanic to use in confused clusters though, where anyone could've killed the spy and the kill log is going berserk.
Melissia 7 #88 Posted May 15, 2009 (edited) Eh, I dunno. The normal cloak is still sounding prtty useful. I HATE standing still as a spy. Also lol at the crabwalking kit. Edited May 15, 2009 by Melissia

The Lorax 25 #91 Posted May 15, 2009 If this is actually real and not some kind of trick, I have just one question: Just how much buffing do we need to do to the spy until it takes absolutely no skill to play? It's already pretty close.
Rydawg 14 #92 Posted May 15, 2009 um. the regen spy cloak is on top of the normal spy cloak, tards
Melissia 7 #93 Posted May 15, 2009 (edited) No it's not dipshit. There are: Cloak Device Spywatch (standard) Dead ringer Spywatch (cloak when hit by a non-lethal shot) Cloak and Dagger Spywatch (regen while standing still, not from picking up metal) Edited May 15, 2009 by Melissia
Rydawg 14 #94 Posted May 15, 2009 (edited) you just cant pick up metal to regen it you have to stand still. that the only difference \Seeing how each class thus fart has only gotten 3 new things you will be able to use these at the same time... Rivanor 1 #95 Posted May 15, 2009 Eh, I dunno. The normal cloak is still sounding prtty useful. I HATE standing still as a spy. Think of how good it would be for spy capping. The infinite cloak without having to move is a very aggressive move by Valve to attract more players to the spy class.
Melissia 7 #96 Posted May 15, 2009 No shit captain obvious, what brilliant deductions are you going to amke now, going to tell me that the sun is hot?

h3gi 5 #98 Posted May 15, 2009 Think of how good it would be for spy capping. At first, I was like, "No, you're stupid, cloaked spies can't cap." And then I was like, "Oh, wow, I'm stupid."
FunkyFresh 68 #99 Posted May 15, 2009 Pretty cool how bundled the stuff together. Wonder what the last weapons will be? No shit captain obvious, what brilliant deductions are you going to amke now, going to tell me that the sun is hot? Or you that you need to chill out? Goddamn. And I thought yousuck was vicious, lmao.
Rivanor 1 #100 Posted May 15, 2009 The more I think about it, the more I am loving the "stand still to regen cloak" unlock. Just yesterday I was trying to get out of our base on turbine to get to an enemy sniper and there was so much congestion that my cloak kept running out because I had to dodge so many people. If they nerf anything, I predict that it WILL be this. (and I intend to exploit it before it gets nerfed hehe)
