Thunder Mountain Mia On West Coast Payload, And Auto-Scramble Comments

Recommended Posts

As one of the donators who spends a fair bit of time on Payload Stocks, I'm wondering what happened to cause the admins to remove Thunder Mountain from the map listing? Quite a few of the evening regulars I play with have been wondering this ever since the MannConomy update.

Also, please add my name to the list of people a bit frustrated with the current settings for auto-scramble. It really does seem like a capricious system the way it's configured by default on the Lotus servers. My suggestion would be to increase the number of points required to trigger an autoscramble to 4-5 instead of the default of 2. Last night for example, one team got stalled on the second point one round, and the next round ended with a 10 minute stalemate at the final point that resulted in a successful defense. And then we scrambled. People were commenting that the teams were quite well balanced at that point, before the scramble took effect.

If there are a lot of complaints about team stacking (which I'll admit to being about 50/50 on either joining in on or moving to counter, depending on the night) then perhaps lower the percentage required to scramble the teams. Maybe 48-49% as opposed to greater than 50? Just about every time I've seen teams stacked and a scramble vote called, at least 2-3 people on both sides seem to vote against the way their "team" would prefer it to go. With a sub-50% success requirement, you'd see a little less enforced stackage I suspect.

I completely agree with the auto-scramble bit as I stated in the other thread about it. I killed that thread, so don't know what'll happen with this one. Either way, I do think that the default of 2 needs to be increased to 4-5.

And it requires 50% of the votes to be yes for a scramble which I think is fair. If one team bands together then they can get it to pass.
