West Coast Server Move

Our west coast servers have been moved to new IPs (and later this month, to a new datacenter).

Initially I was going to do the move later and announce it beforehand... but Valve released an update today and I decided to do it now.

Hi Mana,

I play on 2fort west coast server almost every day, I went to join today and got a message that the server requires a password, server has moved etc. I'll try to join again in a bit, I assume it's being worked on right now. Just thought I'd start a thread since a lot of people use the server. In the meantime, payloads should be fun. Thanks for your help.

Yes it moved... like it says in the name. Use the new IP (also found in the server name).

I noticed that Stocks 3 changed server IPs, it is now not a 33 player server , and doesn't look like any of the stats are working.

It's the exact same server. Thanks for bringing the stats issue to my attention. I completely forgot to change the IPs in stats. Should be working about 10 mins from the time of this post.

It's 24 players when under 24, 33 when it's over 24.

Is it just glitched and reading wrong but the server says it is 24 slot server now.

It was 34 two days ago and I haven't seen anything saying it was going to change. Its a relatively high population server, so if it was moved to 24 it should go back :-) Cheers.

As a donator of the LotusClan West Coast Payload -- which has just moved from a 32-player server to a 24-player server -- I am sad. I realize 24-player is the maximum "official" limit, but it feels empty-ish and not nearly as fun. Which is why I hung out on the 32-player server to begin with.

Any chance the new Payload West Coast will grow back to 32-player?

When we're low on players, we want to be on the default server list (which is what most people use).

Man, what happen to the server? Ever since it moved over, hardly any people are on it. It went down to a 24 man server. And every body on there is a friggin bot! What happen?! I just started donating to, and now the server seems ruined. Unless I missed something?

I'm not sure if you havn't added them in yet, or maybe ya did but the server needs to be restarted.. BUT.. maps need to be fixed! There's only about 9 or so maps rotating right now. Even in the donator list that comes up for a map change/vote only shows I think 9 or 10 maps. Thanks.

every server goes through it's up's and down's. I'm sure it will return to its once populated state, sooner or later.

I made some configuration changes, and I forgot to add them to the dustbowl server. Looks like no one could join unless they used the console. I fixed this now.

In general, server population should be getting better everyday.

Thanks for fixing the server earlier Mana!

I was wondering if you could take ctf sawmill out altogether. It somehow came on and destroyed the server player wise. Had to run around for 10 mins until I could menu a map vote. Or maybe, can we change the skipmap command to a number lower than 35 minutes? 35 seems really long considering a map is 45 usually.

The datacenter move is happening now (since 4 AM). This is why the servers are down currently.

I have no ETA for when it will be back.
