KOTH, does anyone even like this game mode? Most of the time any of our stock maps go onto a KOTH map they tend to become either empty or half empty.

So here's a poll to decide the fate of KOTH on our servers (for now).

I personally don't like it. The maps are bad, and the game-play is short and usually kind of campy. And donors tend to start a vote as soon as possible, I don't see any reason to keep it.

Personally I enjoy the Koth maps however I feel that spending a "regular" amount of time on one to be somewhat tedious. It's almost as if the time limit needs to be around half that of a "normal" map. They can make for some very fun fast paced actiony matches but after a few rounds..3-5 the map needs to be done. And on top of that just for variety sakes for the regular players they aren't bad to have around. Just imo.

would it be possible to make KOTH map votable only? That way the majority of the sever would have to agree to play a KOTH map if they wanted to.

Technically, they already are.

There's a vote before the map ends which decides the next map.

I personally like it because it gives urgency to the enemy team. While it may induce camping, it teaches players to defend and attack better.
