Votekicked For No Good Reason

I've been playing TF2 on your Stock Maps #2 Chicago server for a few weeks now and have been enjoying it despite a fair number of antagonistic players. Today was particularly bad, though. Someone named "kenny" (I don't know if he's admin) suddenly votekicked me and 20 other players voted in agreement with him. The reason was listed as me being "useless," which is odd because I was doing an Engi's duty by constructing dispensers and sentries to defend a point on Steel.

Furious, I re-entered the server -- randomly choosing the sniper class just so I could get in and confront him -- and asked why I was kicked. He replied "the same reason you're a sniper on Steel." I quit in disgust.

I don't have a demo, but I have his Steam ID.

Again, I don't know if he's server admin, but if he is, then I'd consider this a wanton abuse of his admin privileges. The fact that 20 other players voted to kick me just for the hell of it doesn't help things, either.

Let me know if you guys need more information or would like me to follow through and post this in the Ban Request folder.

I'm guessing you were in fact being useless, and using mini-sentries. Dont be useless

Luckily, that was just a votekick. And kenny's not an admin. My advice would be, don't play on Stocks 2.

I don't use mini-sentries.... I was upgrading a normal sentry and my dispenser to help my team. My sentry was killing people and warding off attempts by the other team to cap the point. Soldiers and Heavies were running to my dispenser to heal and resupply because there was no medic. That's not useless, that's helpful. The problem herein lies with the server's playerbase for being antagonistic.

Don't bother with Stacks 2 come over to Stocks 4

The 20 others is more or less automatic. It's not that they wanted to kick you, they just didn't care. Most people don't care and don't know either. They figure if it's initiated and it says "Useless" or whatever, they think it's gotta be true since it's up on the board. Votekicks aren't that common in Lotus other than someone giving a "idle/afk" reason. Plus they just hit any button to get it off the screen, and that usually happens to be 1|Yes. It's by no means an excuse or am I defending anyone. As Mr Gump said: "It happens" (as in: shit happens). Just rejoin and do what you were doing before, no need to argue back at someone who was possibly being a dick to begin with. And try Stocks 3 :-p
