Krash 1,040 #2 Posted August 29, 2011 I dont understand your predicament. Once you have created the .dem file just upload that directly to Media fire, and to watch it load your game and type 'play <demo name>'. Ensure that the file is in your game directory. Skaruts 14 #3 Posted October 7, 2011 (...) and to watch it load your game and type 'play <demo name>'. Ensure that the file is in your game directory. playdemo demoname the "play" command is to play sounds. as an example: record match2of4 stop playdemo match2of4 Don't use spaces in demo names, use underscores ( _ ) instead. So, I could name that demo match_2_of_4 or match_2of4, whatever. (using a space will cause the game to ignore whatever is after the space, so if I did "record my best match" it would result in a demo file called my.dem - it would only accept the part "record my") About that gameinfo.txt, I don't see how it can end up being missing (it can happen for some games if you do something wrong with the SDK), or if it has any particular effect on playing demos anyway... This may be pointless, but you can try verifying game cache (I'm not sure if it verifies missing or currupted files). If you want to try this, go to your games library, right-click the game, select Properties. Then choose the Local Files tab, and click "Verify Integrity of Game Cache...". If that doesn't work (which I think it won't) you could always look for the file by hand, but making sure the file is in it's place and not currupted is a bit complicated to explain/do. It can be done, but maybe the simplest way for someone who isn't very versed in computers may be reinstalling the game. But don't do that just yet. There may be someone here with better suggestions.
