A Question Regarding A Custom Skin

Hello Lotus,

I play a lot on your servers, I really enjoy it. Mostly on the German 2fort servers. Recently I downloaded a skin for my Dead RInger http://gamebanana.com/tf2/skins/113925 The bug where cloak meter shows up way out of location (mentioned in the skin's description) occurs for me. The creator says this glitch is because of 2 files ('vgui/pocketwatchBG' and 'vgui/pocketwatchFG') are not whitelisted by the server. If this is case, is there any chance I can request for these files to be whitelisted? Thank you in advance.

All Lotus servers run with sv_pure enabled, to remove hacks and cheats that would usually fall through the cracks, like some glitches with custom skins that lets you see through walls/makes walls go away etc. If you want a more in depth explanation im sure someone would be happy to elaborate.

heres someone from a SPUF thread:

sv_pure 0 will allow material wallhacks which are not banned by vac. It will also allow sound modification which can make it easy to hear spies.

sv_pure 2 would force the use of all materials, models and sounds from steam only.
So those who want to still wallhack would risk getting banned for it with sv_pure 2.

sv_pure 1 could be the same as sv_pure 2 except it allows you to whitelist the things you allow to be modified on your servers.
