Servers and the birth of a new clan

People, my actual name is -{-BZK-}-Berserker

i have high ambitions in the world of gaming. i'm also trying to form a new clan : Berzerker Klan (BZK) but i need to wait until my computer upgrades (after christmas) and i get a job (around may). so i'm in a bit of a kerfuffle.

i'm building the clan site on freewebs, but to make it official, i need to buy a domain, money which i don't have at the moment. i'm also the only one in the clan at the moment, so i'm not recieving any help.

but i intend (once i get the clan up and running - recruiting) to buy/rent (whatever) the server from gamespy, and make it faster and more effecient. you guys realise how unstable the gamespy server is (connection rejections, no game at this adress ect)

we want to play anytime we want without any complications. so, i'm going to run a new server for battle realms, with permission from gamespy. to make it faster so that more people will play. also could be doing some mods, new units and stuff.

Well, 1st I dislike the idea of clans in the game BR. Why? Because there aren't enough people playing to actually make a normal clan unless you wan't something very tiny. Also I dislike the idea because of gamespy servers, it is almost impossible to join a hosted game. There are such things as no game at this server as you pointed out or the timer just runs out and it brings you back to the screen of new game, options, load game, online, etc... I am not that good at BR either to join a clan couse I never use magic also known as battle gear. So it is almost pure lucky for me to win a game against an experienced player. I am switching to gear tho. Still I don't think a BR clan is a good idea. I have heard of buying a BR server to being able to host well and not let the other gamers drag you down but I've never seen anybody doing it. Unless its done through something else and not gamespy. I would help you but I can't make a good forums/site I could maybe help recruit or manage the boards setting differen't things up. But me as a player for your clan wouldn't be a great idea Well I hope you get help or luck. 1nsane might help you who made this site. But if he did help you I would call him insane since we need alot of things done here and if he wen't to help you 1st then I'd be pissed. Anyways as I said good luck to your plans BC.

Theres really no point for another server. If you can find a decent host, then you can get decent games. And we can always have IP games.

Yeah IP games turn out the best! No gamespy usage and thus less people lag/drop. Gamespy sucks and what sucks even more is that Liquid used gamespy for BR . But then again its better then them having hosted servers for it as BR multiplayer would be long dead if they did.

the thing is, for me, i meet a new person in battle realms everyday, so ip games are out of the question

Yeah and I know why. I started posting battle realms everywhere and set up an eDonkey2000 server with it, there are over 200 people downloading battle realms of me (I have a fiber optic connection) Some of the place where I released Battle Realms for download are http://www.peerweb.org/forums/showthread.php?t=1349 and the expansion http://www.peerweb.org/forums/showthread.php?t=1603 and tehre are more palces that I did it more recently but I dont have time to look (Yes my name is Pink )

There is no telling how long this game survives, its pretty outdated.

And theres no telling how long it will be until its, you know, gone.
