Hi,

I have recently found your 24/7 2fort server, and love it. I play everyday, almost 6 hours a day. Unfortunatly, several times a person or two logs onto the server and begins to lag the game to the point that it is not worth playing, for everyone. Im seeing pings in upwards of 400. These people are asked polietly to leave, however they do not. Infact, im on the server as we speak, and the other team has two people with close to 400 ping that are really messing up the game.

All im asking is that there be someway to remove these people from the server, via admin or vote process. We attempt to use /votekick, but obviosly it does nothing.

I'm not sure if you are saying that few people with high ping make the server lag or if they are just annoying.

High ping of one player does not make the whole server lag. That's just not how the Source networking system works. It's not peer to peer. It's Server to Client. Which means that the most inconvenience that he/she/it has causes was lagging around the map... warping or slightly teleporting.

Anyways.. the votekick command is enabled and should work on the server when there are no admins. What happens when you type in "votekick" in the server? Does it say anything? And /votekick should do nothing.

Well, its not such much we get lagged, its more of that the person becomes "invisible" because everybodys clients thinks his character is still in the spawn. It ends up with him "shooting through walls" the entire time hes logged on in server. And ive tried "votekick" doesnt do anything last time i tried.

Votekick and voteban is in the admin menu when you type @admin in console ain't it?
