DarkClaw 0 #1 Posted May 9, 2008 I have 2 mouses here I'd like you guys to check out. Tell me which one you think I should get. They are both under 20$, and if you guys have another suggestion for a good gaming mouse under 20$, tell me! I-Rocks 1600dpi-800dpi 5-button laser mouse (This one is only 10$) Everglide 1600dpi-800dpi-400dpi laser mouse (This one is 19$) Although I'm not worried about the price, I have yet to learn much about mouses. Take your pick and explain to me why. (I prefer the I-Rocks one for the shape, I can't just make a decision on that can I?)
coda 1 #2 Posted May 9, 2008 I would get the IRocks one b/c the everglide one is too fat. I get the feeling that it would be uncomfortable to use. btw, i use a logitech mx300 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16826104136
Rambler 0 #3 Posted May 9, 2008 Yeah, I would never suggest the second one... it'd be like holding a turtle and trying to game at the same time. The first one, that one looked like it would fit nicely into your hand and be a powerful tool. I have a wireless S510 keyboard mouse combo. Works ok, and after you get used to the lag that the keyboard has when you type quickly (all the time since I always type quickly), then it's not so bad. It looks awesome. DarkClaw 0 #4 Posted May 9, 2008 Ok, what about keyboard? This is the one I've chosen, just under 20$ as well. It's got a USB port, and audio and mic jacks build in it as well. Multimedia buttons, and it's keys are silent (I like silent). http://www.everglide.com/index.php?option=...task=view&id=
Doxt 1 #5 Posted May 9, 2008 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16823126180 I'll never go back to a wired mouse.

DarkClaw 0 #8 Posted May 9, 2008 I like using the standard layout (WASD, Space Bar, Ctrl, ect.), meaning that keyboard's gaming keys would just take up extra space on my narrow desk (Although I am planning to get a better one). And still, wireless has the extra weight from batteries (the I-Rocks one is supposedly very light), and still has that slight 1ms lag that I don't like. And wireless signals rot your body and brain, didn't you guys know that?! Can cause headaches and nausea, forgetfulness, and in some major cases I've heard of, cancer. (This is waves in general. Cellular towers and major WiFi stations (I really mean major) would cause the cancer part. Headaches and nausea would be caused by using anything wireless, and forgetfulness if you have a strong WiFi signal near you or a cellphone near your ear for a good amount of time.) Of course, the reaction people get can differ... I sleep in my room, which has a modem with WiFi, and I don't feel anything, yet when anybody else in my family comes and stays in my room for a good while, they say they don't feel that great anymore. Mana 3,867 #9 Posted May 9, 2008 I'll never go back to a wired mouse. 5375[/snapback] Wireless mice have a longer delay when compared to wired mice. I have both a Wired and Wireless Laser Mouse and I can feel the difference between the two when gaming. :/
Doxt 1 #10 Posted May 9, 2008 I used to agree with you, but this new one is simply amazing. I can't spot any noticeable delay, even when I shake it wildly across the screen
coda 1 #11 Posted May 9, 2008 yea i have a wired and wireless mouse, and when i game, there's a noticible delay. i suppose if you get like an expensive gaming wireless mouse, you might not have a delay like Doxt says.
miniturtle 0 #12 Posted May 9, 2008 If you get a good wireless mouse it isn't that big of a difference. I could never go back to a wired mouse... they suck.
PriiME 0 #13 Posted May 10, 2008 WIRELESS SUCKS!!!!! WIRED ALL THE WAY FOR GAMING!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOO
DarkClaw 0 #14 Posted May 10, 2008 WOOOOOOOOOOOOOT WIRED DOESN'T KILL YOU EITHER! WIRELESS KILLS YA!
miniturtle 0 #15 Posted May 10, 2008 How does it kill you? Wireless rules! How are you ever going to be able to pimp your computer area out if you're all restricted by a dumb wire?
PriiME 0 #16 Posted May 10, 2008 use the new invisible wires u cant even see them and they improve health
DarkClaw 0 #17 Posted May 10, 2008 Pfffttt. Have you ever noticed that you aren't allowed getting near cell towers? That's because they produce symptoms such as headaches, vomiting, forgetfullness, and cancer (but you'd have to live very near it for that probably ). Guess what? Every wireless technology is based on that. Thus you can have the same effects, only less powerful. Especially dangerous if you have it in the room you sleep in. They say it's like have a microwave (based on same technology as cell towers, only the waves are used to heat up food) or mini cell tower working 24/7. Oh yeah, this is also a reason not to get a cellphone!
miniturtle 0 #18 Posted May 10, 2008 Oh no.... a whole half-second of my life taken away by my wireless mouse, and another 1/2 for my cell phone. It's worth it. Wireless mouses are freaking awesome and there is no way I could live without my iPhone. And how on earth could you live without a microwave? That's just madness.
DarkClaw 0 #19 Posted May 11, 2008 You could live with a microwave, forgot to mention that they meant the microwave had to be OPEN while working. And tis only an example. And it doesn't take your life away, unless it gives you cancer, just causes annoying symptoms that not everybody can feel. Some people like me, could probably live with a microwave open and working in their room, as in my room, there is the modem with WiFi, my older brother has his laptop set up there as it's the only available place, and he has a wireless mouse, wireless speakers, and wireless keyboard, which are all on 24/7, and he keeps his bluetooth cellphone near his computer most of the time if he's not carrying it with him. Man, if someone sensitive to this stuff came in my room... he'd be throwing up everywhere.
PriiME 0 #20 Posted May 11, 2008 or........ they might spontaneously combust and u'd have a huge mess to clean!
The Spot 0 #21 Posted May 11, 2008 Logitech MX518 This is the mouse I use, and I've had no complaints about it. I would be a little out of your price range, just $30, but I think its worth it. I just cant stand the little tiny mice that most people use, and this one is just the right size. Of course this mouse might be really big and I just dont notice it with my big hands. lol
DarkClaw 0 #22 Posted May 11, 2008 Uh, it's 40 dollars. You need to round of the price upwards if the number is equal or higher than 5, savvy? The I-Rocks one is very similar to that one, just not a high name brand. I'm pretty sure I'm paying 20$ extra for the name and the looks. But yes, I'd like to have it if I could. PriiME 0 #23 Posted May 11, 2008 29.99 after 10 dollar rebate. looks like a not as good version as the logitech g5 which is a very good mouse also. i still think u should get the razer deathadder. its very BADASS!!!
