Battle Realms 1.59.6 Released, Available Now!

This quick update patches a few technical issues around widescreen support in certain scenarios, some performance improvements in edge cases, and localization tweaks that should make your playthroughs smoother. That’s enough of a preview of what’s coming in the 1.59.6 update, so let’s dive right in!

Technical

• Implemented fixes for cinematic scenes, text rendering, and cursor issues in widescreen and ultrawide screen resolutions.

  • This should address that annoying cursor trail glitch.

• Integrated Intel graphics users running with DirectX12 on Windows 11 should be in a better place and fixed an issue that could lead to the game crashing.

• Windowed mode should now run and behave as expected.

• In this pass, we improved FPS performance and should fix heavy FPS drops in certain edge cases.

• Restored Windows 7 compatibility for older systems and other compatibility layers.

Localization

• Updated localization across the entire game in UI, tooltips, pop-ups, and other locations.

  • Non-English languages should now see the correctly translated text that were previously hard-coded.
