Source Mods Used For Donator Benifits?

I have been recently investigating Linux HLDS's and have enjoyed playing TF2 on the Lotus Clan servers. My question is this: what Source mods do you use to manage donator benefits, and just in general, on your servers?

As in, you code most of it completely from scratch? That's pretty impressive.

It's mostly custom :).

Would you recommend any tutorials or other learning resources you used to do this?
