I know that a server Update was pushed last night from valve

The update on Tuesday broke automatic reconnect on Linux servers. Steam goes down daily and so the servers lose connection. Windows servers are able to reconnect fine however.

The more people complain on steam forums the more likely it will be fixed as I will not restart servers when they are full because of Valve's screw ups .

Auto update is on for the Linux servers (not supported on Windows). The server are fully up to date. That includes the update which broke steam connection reconnect from Tuesday. If they were not up to date you would be unable to join them and they would not be listed on the master server.
