Friday Downtime - Server 4 - Chicago

Due to a recent resurrection of an exploit that valve didn't fix back in 2003. I will be taking some preventative measures. In this case, we will be switching server4.gamingterritory.com [65.60.32.26 - Chicago] to CentOS 5.3 x64 from Windows Server 2008 x64.

This is so we could easily limit access to which folders and commands SRCDS (TF2 Server Software) has access to. That way even if someone uploads a malicious file the user running SRCDS will be too limited to do any real damage.

I am planning to start the process either in the AM of Friday the 20th or early PM of the same day. This is to minimize the impact of the downtime on our regulars.

server4.gamingterritory.com is home to the following Lotus servers:
