Relikie 7 #1 Posted December 6, 2009 I wrote up a C# program that will generate a GameMenu.res file to add your favorite LotusClan servers (or other servers via the Add another server... button) to the menu like so: And the program looks like this (nothing fancy): It will create a GameMenu.res wherever the program runs from. You need to copy the GameMenu.res file to steam\steamapps\<yourusername>\team fortress 2\tf\resource. If you decide you don't want to use it anymore, delete or move the file and TF2 will automagically use the built in one (should, anyway). If not, I can get a default one to upload. This program is great for donators as the menu buttons only run "connect [iP]" in console, meaning you wont have to open your console to join when a server is full. Spartan_0214 18 #2 Posted December 6, 2009 Kthx, but if the server's full I still have to use the console command to join. I copypasta the IP if it's full and use the command "connect [iP]". Or I use my G15. Thanks, though.
Super Sean 1 #3 Posted December 6, 2009 This is pretty awesome! But I was wondering, could you make it so you can put whatever sever you want on there and not just Lotus? Not that I'm saying they suck or anything, just, you know... Sometimes I just wanna play dodgeball or something.

Spartan_0214 18 #5 Posted December 6, 2009 If that's the way you programmed it.

Mana 3,867 #7 Posted December 7, 2009 If that's the way you programmed it. That is the way the Source menu system works. It is a list of links which point to command (such as openserverbrowser). It will create a GameMenu.res wherever the program runs from. You need to copy the GameMenu.res file to steam\steamapps\<yourusername>\team fortress 2\tf\resource. If you decide you don't want to use it anymore, delete or move the file and TF2 will automagically use the built in one (should, anyway). If not, I can get a default one to upload. Goodwork, the reserved slot holders might find this very useful.
Relikie 7 #8 Posted December 8, 2009 Awesome! Thanks! Goodwork, the reserved slot holders might find this very useful. NP and thanks. Originally I was just going to write one file with all the servers, but there were just way too many. Also, do you know any way to retrieve a server's player count from the console? I don't think its possible, but it would be cool if it was.
Mana 3,867 #9 Posted December 9, 2009 Also, do you know any way to retrieve a server's player count from the console?
