Disruptive And Abusive Clan On Your Servers

Me and many of the people who play on your server would like you to do something about all the VM people that join your server (mainly the Goldrush one). From what I can tell they started off as a small group of players and then expanded by just picking up the best players and dedicated ones on your server and then having them tag up. Whenever they play they stack all to one team so you have one team full of guys who barely know each other but are all decently skilled against a random pub team. When someone says anything bad to them they treat the server like it's their own and start calling off random votes for Hacking or being Disruptive or whatever. Most of the time the votes pass as people don't really read it and just hit 1. One thing you could do to fix issues like that is to switch the Yes and No to 2 and 1 instead of 1 and 2. I love the server and so do many of its regulars but the VM abuse is getting extremely old.

If you want something done, you'll have to make a demo and put it in the Ban Requests Section. If Mana deems them too disruptive, then he may just ban the entire group. Don't forget to read this first, however.

Ok I'll try and do that, but could you atleast change the options for votekicking and votebanning? Most people just mindlessly push 1 not knowing if the person is even doing anything wrong. Just have it so 1 is No and 2 is Yes.

They didn't form a skilled team, they picked up pubbers from the server and stack one team. So you have half the server wearing VM tags and 70% of them don't even know each other. Now when someone says something bad about them or owns them they start a vote and it passes because atleast half the server pushes yes and then the other half mindlessly hits yes not knowing what the vote is about but doesn't really care. All I'm asking is you switch the Yes to option 2 and No to option one and majority of the problems will get fixed. I could care less of them stacking as most of the time they get owned but usually them stacking causes people to say something they don't like and then they treat the server like it's their and start initiating vote bans.

Most clans are either a group of friends that tag up to pub or competitive. They are neither and are just elitists on the server that grief people who play.

The server it's happening on is the Goldrush 24/7 server. Whenever the map restarts they all join the blue team, if it's full they wait. Like I said stacking isn't really the issue it's more of the votekicking and votebanning because they don't like someone or they are getting owned. If you could change Option 1 to No and Option 2 to Yes more then likely the problem will fix itself. 99% of the people don't even look at the vote and just hit 1 whenever the vote comes up but usually it's not a problem with the other people since half of the opposing team is filled with the abusive "clan" and they dominate the voting.

IIRC, if someone doesn't vote it's defaulted to no. The problem comes when a vote is cast when people aren't ready. One being the primary weapon slot, it's usually that button that people press when a vote is cast, since zero isn't really used. What people need to learn is that if you type !revote into chat, you can recast your vote. If the actual act of voting becomes an issue, Mana may change it, but it's not going to happen any time soon.

I have played with a few of these guys on the 24/7 2Fort Chicago server.

They seemed like alright guys to me.

Yes they are pretty good, but I didn't find them disruptive or irritating in anyway.

There's a few of them that are alright: Dallas and Bear are cool those are the 2 that come to mind. But majority of them are elitists and if you do anything to piss them off and a lot of them are on they will start up a votekick or voteban and have it passed majority of the time for no reason. Play with them on the Goldrush server when a lot of them are on and you'll see.

You're not really paying attention to the votes yourself then. Mindlessly hitting 1? How about mindlessly crying about votes. People start votebans, and one of the people from VM will votekick or votemute one of OUR OWN players to stop the voteban, because the voteban was uncalled for in the first place. Plus, recently there have been 5 or so people that have the VM tag that arn't part of our steam group, and are just trying to anger us. So you're probably seeing votes from non-VM members as well. We don't try to cause problems. We come on and play and have a good time.

Also start watching because I votelove people all the time... If you're upset over that, well then, I'm sorry there is nothing love can't fix.

Most of the time I usually watch the votes if I see VM guys on that are being douche bags (not all of them are but there are quite a few that act like they are all mighty). Like I've said in previous posts, if the options were reversed it wouldn't be an issue as most people probably do the 2nd things I do which is just hit 1 to get the vote off their screen.

I am not asking for VM to be dealt with because of team stacking because I could care less if you guys are all on one team, I'm asking them to be dealt with because they are abusing the votekick and voteban functions on the server. Apparently I wasn't clear enough to have 3 guys from VM to come and say something to me on the server. They seem to have stopped with the bs but I'll be recording so when it does happen it will be posted.

I'm an asshole, that's funny. I was votekicked and votebanned multiple times in one night (retry before voteban goes through to avoid it) for just joining the server, also GreenHeat had the same issue apparently and was avoiding the kicks and bans for 2hrs he said. Just because you have more people that can come on here saying you aren't doing anything wrong doesn't mean you aren't. I also wear your tag, NMC, and Team Wins tag because I can. Take NMC and Team Wins attitude and not give a shit about it because they know it doesn't matter, also I yell racist slurs? Ya probably on my mic every 10mins but I don't know how'd you know since there's rarely a VM guy on my team and you guys are all on the opposing team, like I said I don't use in-game chat just voice don't want to be caught typing.

BTW I do have a demo from last night if you guys want to watch it all. It will be 1hr before it's uploaded, 90megs is a lot.

One thing I noticed right off the bat on the demo, is that he just happened to start recording it AFTER he switched to the other team, and you don't see him mouthin off on our team. Thats nice. To bad you're a decent spy but a total jackass. Nice work on all the engie stuff.

Myelin is also climbing fast on my favourite players. Damn he is hilarious. Pot is bad, but Myelin is funny.
