Recommended Posts

How nice of them, guess they are working on updating it for polycount/adding trading.

9:54 PM - L | Mana: Don't they have a private item/universe thingy

9:54 PM - L | Mana: Shouldn't they be testing it there?

9:54 PM - AzuiSleet: Testing? what's that

9:54 PM - L | Mana: Right

They crashed them again. Seems like similar time to yesterday. Maybe all the servers and clients will crash again at midnight as well.

Neph was bitching about it on IRC last week. Fun times.

He thinks people still use IRC, psh. That's like so... 1990's.

quick someone engage the hyperdrive, contact dark helmet, and plot the course for Valve. We're taking all the hats and nobody can stop us:rolleyes:

We think we have this fixed now. The gameservers were getting into a state where restarting part of the Steam service would cause them to crash. In fact, the second crash on Sunday morning (10:58am PDT) was caused by pushing the fix live. We restarted that part of Steam this morning at 10:40am PDT and there were no reports of servers crashing en mass around that time, so we should be good.

From this point forward, if you see any more instances of many servers crashing at once, please send me callstacks or crash dump files and I'll take a look.

Joe Ludwig

Hopefully they fixed it now.
