Lamar The HeadHumper. 2 #1 Posted January 17, 2011 Heya mana, I've played on lotus for awhile, normally in the chicago arena. I would like to suggest the option of adding some extra's to the server or servers. Options such as vote gravity for low grav. or vote crit to turn crits off. I know generally when people join they want the straight forward game but on occasion I think it would be nice to have a change up.. and if the vote rate is high, such as 90-95% and only last for the current map, I think it would still be a seldom use. I've also played on a freezetag server before, I've yet to see a freezetag arena server, hint hint lol... And last but not least, I dont think I've ever played and seen you in game.. pop into the chicago arena sometime. Krash 1,040 #3 Posted January 17, 2011 Low gravity is pretty much a definite no. If you want no crits play on Stack Maps #2 We should have an Arena-Stocks 2 equivalent, ie no-crit. Just without the penises and douchebags. I enjoy playing arena now and then and getting a lucky fish crit from and annoying scout really gets to me. Having votes that alter the gameplay so fundamentally is not a good idea. People are used to having a server being one way and if it randomly changes based on a vote it won't be the same server. I know what annoys me is during mid battle someone issues a vote and I'm in the middle of fighting and try to weapon switch. I've died multiple times that way. One time I was being ubered in and was going to take a sentry down with my grenades but had my stickies equipped, vote came up, hit 1, and then didn't realize it and had to hit 1 again. Wasted a few precious seconds of an uber. I'm not sure if it's big enough of a problem to make changes for, but it sure can be annoying at times.
