TomSkirret 0 #1 Posted February 10, 2011 I know the usual reason for banning someone is hacking, but this guy is spamming trade requests and attempting scams. He's not hacking, in fact he's not really any good and mostly AFK for trading. He tries to get people to let him "borrow" items and seems to target anyone with an unusual hat. Since Lotus servers are intended for gameplay, I suggest a ban to avoid repeated kick/ban votes that may or may not work. DrkEagle 15 #3 Posted February 10, 2011 Get a demo of him spamming the chat and go spectate him sitting in spawn or show the scoreboard of him sitting as a spectator spamming the chat. That will help out loads!
TomSkirret 0 #4 Posted February 10, 2011 Get a demo of him spamming the chat and go spectate him sitting in spawn or show the scoreboard of him sitting as a spectator spamming the chat. That will help out loads! Understandable, if he returns to the server I will supply you with all the evidence your heart could ever desire. He will be banned.... OH YES! He will be banned...... These trade spamming d-bags are infectious and they result in one team having 2-4 essentially AFK players during play. I've seen it result in matches being ruined since one team is basically several players up for a few minutes at a time throughout the match, which allows the other team to spawn-camp, build sentries on the bridge, and basically unleash a long and painful rape of the team with players who should just be on trade servers. DrkEagle 15 #5 Posted February 10, 2011 It's a hard thing to police on the servers, especially since Lotus servers are so popular. I think there's a loose rule of some kind about repeating over chat, like the same thing over and over in a certain amount of time, but I'm not sure what it is. Things like this almost always have to be a case by case thing. I've seen it a lot too about people trading, which is fine, I've done it before, but when it ends up taking longer than a minute or two, that's when it becomes a issue. The problem about it is the server will kick someone who's been idle for too long but when you trading, you're really not idle. The best thing you can do if it gets really bad is a vote kick, which may or may not work. Because no one on the other team cares lol!
