Abusing Indirect Fire

I heard of it but i cant still figure out how, or maybe i just too noobish to get it, but... Could someonte tell me how can one abuse the skill indirect fire of the dragon cannoneer? thanks!

Definition of abuse in Battle Realms.

1. The term some people (mostly people that can't play) use as an excuse for losing.

2. Using absurd amounts of ID e.g. 10-20 ID constantly hammering your units.

I personally don't believe in abuse of any Battle Gear, because in Battle Realms, you can always find a counter.

Oh, I see... So they just like, mass up cannons with Indirect and back them up with some units ryt? I never thought of that... I always think cannon of dragon is easy to kill but seeing it that way, I think it will give you a hell lot to trouble to deal with.

I know its off topic but can anyone tell me how to counter the said situation? mass cannons with Indirect and back up melle? Please help me by suggesting counters for every clan, including dragon, thank god this forum is alive with active members... thanks again!

There are two types of ID abusers. The ones that use ONLY ID and Archers with Zen to reveal you through the fog, and those that accompany their ID with other units to protect them. Here i'm going to assume they are the first type.

For Dragon I suggest you simply "abuse" ID back at them, but be better at it, e.g more Geisha, more Stardust. But another tactic which is considerably harder to achieve, is making very little units and as a result, get the Dragon Spirit alot faster than them. Your small army then just marches into their base and finishes off the survivers.

For Serpent I would use Cannoneers with Smoke as a screen for my Musketeers with Blast Shot and Swordsmen with Mugging, backing them all up with mounted Geisha. Remember to trample them if they have units other than Kegs, and target their Battle Gear with your mugs.

For Wolf it isn't really very hard unless they mass towers and horses. Just make a fair amount of Berzerkers and harass them with Werewolves & Wolfbite, plus almost any other combination of units, including some Ballistas with Totems.

For Lotus Dragon isn't a problem at all, let them mass ID as much as they like. A couple of Warlocks with Soul Chill & Staff Adepts with Dark Canopy, coupled with some Geisha is more than any Dragon can withstand.

Tips:

In Valley of Death ID "abusers" will persistantly ID you over the river that runs down the center, which can become very frustrating. The simple answer to this is to move somewhere else. For example if they ID your Peasants just move to the top of the map, but try to keep control of the bottom as well. Their ID won't reach much further than your rice, so you can quite safely keep producing units in your old base while collecting resources in another.

People who "abuse" ID will usually try to take advantage of high positions on a level, so try to capture them first.

Of course none of the above is worth taking into account unless you can control your units with relative ease.

Wow... That helped aLOT! You seem to be very pro at BR, my dad will replace our internet connection with DSL in a weeks time, and I hope I can also play online, I'm getting tired of super ai'sand LAN games with no more than a few kids to play with, thanks again for your help, Ive learned greatly from it!
