Mana 3,867 #1 Posted September 26, 2011 How many of you are getting Battlefield 3 here? Should we get a server for it? Since EA is very restrictive and are unlikely to even provide unraked server files, we'll have to get the server from a ranked provider. The cost for which will be around $100 for a 64 slotter. For $200 we could get a dedicated server that would run 8 24 player TF2 servers (to put it in perspective). So I wanna know if we have enough interest before I get the game/server. Also, it seems Activision will be less restrictive with Modern Warfare 3 which is really changing my perceptions of these 2 publishers. Something is weird when Activision becomes the good guy and allows their cash cow franchise to have mods. Which will potentially interfere and cause less people to buy their next COD in 2012.
