Nicholas Chamberlin 5 #1 Posted January 23, 2012 Just an observation that might be helpful. Lotus dust2 is the only server I really play, almost daily, sometimes multiple times throughout the day. Recently, a new voting system was put into place, so now, a certain number of people need to type voteban or votekick, just to initiate a vote.. but then there's been times I was playing, and didn't even see the secondary vote initiate, so I missed my opportunity to vote when it was needed. This recent change to the voting system is a downgrade, it's bad for the players.. if the majority of players type voteban [playername], there shouldn't be a secondary vote... most of the time that secondary vote results in the person not getting kicked, so there's 3 afk in the game(which is really annoying)... before the change to the voting system, it was much easier to kick disruptive players, afk, people who looked like they could possibly be hacking. now, it's extremely difficult just to get an afk gone.(from my experience on the server). I think it's lowering the number of people who want to play on that server, but that's just what I see. The secondary vote is making it too hard to get rid of disruptive players who flash their own team, afk, etc. It should go back to the old system, which actually worked. It would also be great to see more admin playing. It's always nice when you don't even need the voting system because you have an admit to kick or ban quickly. I just wanna play the game without people on my own team flashing me, or people choosing not to defuse the bomb when they clearly can, etc. Right now, the servers not nearly as fun to play on because there's more disruptive players. Also, would you guys consider increasing the length of a temporary ban? Right now I believe it's 30 minutes, having it be 12 hours or 24 hours would be much more helpful in deterring bad or disruptive behavior. We barely managed to ban a disruptive player, then a little while later he came back and did the same disruptive gameplay, but this time we couldn't get him gone through the secondary vote, it's just too much for more people, I think. 4 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I get this alot in office and dust2 beta. for some reason, if one clan members dont like the way you play or you have like 20-5 scores, they start to voteban you just for playing well. this is just ridiculous!
