Please Remove Bots

Can bots please be removed? They have killed the server...it's 8pm est and it's filled with bots and 1 real player. No one wants to join a server full of bots.

No one will play on an Empty Server either.

You have to compromise somewhere.

In either case the server is dead.

There aren't nearly enough active players to get it going from empty (without fake clients), and nobody is going to play with bots.

Killed? It did the complete opposite. I increased the bot count yesterday and the server got full the same day.

Only problem is the bots are supposed to leave automatically as people join but this does not happen. I will look into it.

Fixed that. When there's 8 real players the bots will leave.

Incase you haven't heard, Valve updates are screwing the 'Fake Clients'. So its not just the Lotus server, its DOZENS of DoD:S servers.

See what happens when you put bots that come and go? Success.

Hey, I just want whats best here. I just have observed that the last 3 or 4 times I tried to join in later in the evening when the server used to have at least 10-14 real players, its been full of bots and 2 or 3 players. Maybe now that its fixed, it'll be better

I'd rather see two people slug it out with help from dumb bots than nothing.
