Serious Chicago Arena Problem.

The Chicago Arena server has become an utter disgrace.

Half the regular players voteban players for no reason at this point and it's gotten out of hand. There needs to be some action taken on this.

Voteban may not be permanent but it's rediculous that it can be abused to this point, especially if 80% of the players online are purposely trying to ban players for no reason.

A new player to TF2 joined the server and within 2 rounds they votebanned him because he told them they were acting Racist, as they repeatedly would call everyone the N word.

I've been apart of this server for 1 year and it's never been this rediculous, even in the eye of the night. Almost the entire player base is disrespectful and as I mentioned bans almost anyone who isn't so.

Along with your occassional Chat Spam you contributed to following the example of both Angry Squirrel and Thompson Time! in banning other players for no reason. I've noticed this behavior occur in both yourself and in a multitude of other players over the past months and it isn't acceptable.

That's not exactly a good attitude.

I didn't plan to nor started any sort of arguement and if you could even call the above an arguement at all. There is no need for a ban request as there needs to be an actual change to the server rules towards banning or this will just continue regardless.

No unfortunately I don't believe the voteban feature being taken away will provide a completely positive effect. But having a rule stating that abuse of the feature will result in a punishment would be more tactful or making it so that only donors+ could use it.

There was a donor on at the time, not sure if it was Shymalan or not but this is more of a problem that has occured over the past months, not just today.

I figured as much, but it's been going on for months and none of these users has ever been banned. One of them even said he was reported 8 times and never got banned, laughed at me, called me the N word, and then votebanned me. Im referring to Angry Squirrel who i'm surprised is still allowed on this server.

Agreed. This is the easiest way to get action. Arguing with the people doing it will not change anything.

Alternately, if people are chatspamming, let us know who they are so we can check the chatlogs.

Rules are already in place to handle disruptive behaviour - working within them will get you better results than asking for them to be changed.

so can you get your story straight have you been using this server for months or for a year? cause clearing this up would help if you have only play since it return to arena then it is just getting up to pace if you have been on for atleast a year or even since the summer which is when i started playing you would know that the voteban/kick would be called by everyone on everyone and only the butt hurt pansys who take personal offense a wine about it just keep the voteban target on there head if you just shut up and came back in 30 mins you probably would have been fine but you rather threaten us complain then go through with your threat and none of us take kindly to that and i was about 20 beers deep at the time if that is so important to this

The length of time he has been on the server is irrelevant. Assuming that you are the Thompson Time! mentioned in complaint, you're responsible for a chatlog many would find offensive. If you were playing on the server I admin on, you would be banned. As this is not the one I am responsible for, I'll wait for Gotcha or Afronanny to take a look and go from there.

the time frame in which he has played on this server is more relevant to the point than your post especially if he doesnt know the difference between a year and a few months
