A Simple Request About Scramble...

i dont know if its just me this pisses off, but when a team is loosing because they couldnt organize an orgy in a brothel, and thing that 4 snipers on attack is the way forward, they vote scramble - fair enough it fails but then 30 seconds latey they vote scramble AGAIN - and its sucsessfull

the next round, the scramble happens and even though it works, there is still no change in team performance so they feckin scrable AGAIN!!!!

ive witnessed a game where a scramble vote was initiated FIVE times in one round

can we maybe have a limit between votes? say vote scramble > unsucsessfull > a 5 min wait between initiating another scramble vote? we have a 60 second limit between votekicks / bans so i thought this could be implimented on a scramble aswell, but just with a longer cool off period?. alot can (and usually does) happen in 5 mins

to be honest i couldnt agree more - i never initiate a scramble vote and if a vote is started, regardelss of weather im on the winning or loosing team i always vote no anyway

but unfortunatly scramble votes are part of the game - i just think we need a limit on the number of scramble votes per round

it is very much a nuisance, but like se7en says, most donate anyway and get left where they are.

Usually the ones who play crap are the scramblers too

I stopped doing that once I determined my team is no longer capable of using their brains. Thankfully Mana has blessed us (LOL) with a Team Changer.

Although sometimes it feels like you're fighting two teams instead of one. Where one team is using the most stupidest tactics in the game, while the other has Crocketeers bouncing around, smashing their heads in when they don't seem to realize there's a ROOF over your head.

I do. For me I don't care who's winning, because it's no fun to steamroll the other team more than twice in a row AND I always get worried people will leave if they get rolled. Thus even if I'm on the winning team I'm just as likely to scramble if it's completely one-sided.

I initiate scramble votes any time a team is getting rolled. Either way, you have issues getting points

I never do anymore, if people are annoyed by it, they'll start a vote. Unfortunatly, they have to try three or five times before it actually passes, before long though a few kicks for AFK/Idle are brought up.

It's still a pain in teh ass though, scramble or not, so I just don't bother anymore. No one gives a shit anyways.

I actually find this to not help the situation but make it worse, as when I leave a team, I'm branded a Traitor, get a couple of votekicks and bans by my now enemy associates, and then turn the tide, where people covet when I'm on their team. That is unacceptable.

anyways, i believe scramble should be removed, as well as vote ban. keep it to the donators (as long as they do not abuse power) as too many people like to do it out of spite

Voteban should remain as there are not Admins on 24/7, and when that one hacker visits, you'll be begging it's there.

Also, Donators are not Admins, Administrators and their abilities are different, there are no 'powers', there's privileges. Those privileges can easily be abused and removed just as easily. :3

also, whether they are "powers" or "privelidges" is irrelevant, if you want to be that pedantic ensure you go through every other persons thread when they put up a post stating that a donator has been "abusing their powers"

No it doesn't, which would then have the donators need to reach an Administrator, or continue to try to ban them. There's so many reasons why a Voteban will fail, people voting against it because of their choice or trolling, trying to use weapon 2, and finally because some people just don't care for issues, where instead, they complain that every vote called is spam. Some people are just that stupid.

Actually it is, because it helps identify who's an idiot. If you want to be pedantic, then Powers is an ability that one has (Key word, Has), a Privilege is an ability that is GIVEN to another. It also helps to remind people that their voting access isn't permanent and thus can be removed just as quick, whereas the former leads one to believe they'll always have their voting access.

Although honestly, there's quite a few idiots who shouldn't be allowed to call vote or participate IN a vote.

I think it should be removed entirely. TF2 scrambles the teams anyway after 2 consecutive round wins. And in the end people who donate don't get scrambled or team switched so it's all kinda pointless anyway.

Vote scramble uses a different method of scrambling. It's like that on purpose.

Usualy we use Valve's stuff but when you vote, it scrambles everyone and in a different manner. Donor or not.
