Maybe you should write what error occurs or if the game crashes. Could be that there were just some so called "blockers" inside the game you wanted to join. We can't tell you the solution if you don't describe your problem more precise. If you want to host a game you have to free the UDP-Ports 7174, 7175 and 7177.
