Harlequin 2,975 #26 Posted January 12, 2013 DX8 worked fine for me, only DX9 made me problems. have a look on chris's fps configs: http://fakkelbrigade.eu/chris/configs/ I always go with a high fps config in TF2; I tryd the dx95 config out, so, my game is running super super smooth, high FPS, looking way way better then dx8 and is stable (running on dx95 now) just did the change to dx95 config yesterday, works perfect.

Harlequin 2,975 #28 Posted January 14, 2013 I edited following entrys in the dx95 config: gibs (activated, default is off) glowing_outlines (activated, default is off) Ragdolls (activated, default is off) I don't know if youi are familiar with these configs, but I think so. I just searched for these and changed the 0 to 1, or switched the // from on to off parts. all the other stuff I don'T really care, as long as it's most fps. but the three entrys above, I feel it's not that much PFS lost when active, but still is tf2 game experience maybe some decals change, but havent tryd yet.

Yeah, I know em, it hurts the feedback more, when you trade it away for the bettera...game performance? Cost of the nice scenery, for a really mean drive. Ask for a new rig next year! Haha!

Sphagnum Peat Moss 748 #34 Posted January 24, 2013 Do you by any chance have your pagefile disabled? If so, enable it.

Sphagnum Peat Moss 748 #36 Posted January 26, 2013 If you don't know, then it's probably enabled. Lots of people think they can disable it if they have a lot of RAM, but this is not a good practice.
