aferriswheel 1 #1 Posted February 5, 2013 February 4th, 2013 around 5:55 PM CST (24/7 Dustbowl Texas | 69.162.126.141:27015) aferriswheel! was acting suspicious when playing and one of the players called him out, so I immediately spectated. (The action starts at tick 90,472.) I, as well as other players on the server, suspected that he was using wall hacks and aimbotting. A little after tick 107,000 , he aims for the engineer's feet perfectly. At tick 112,000 , he knows that the pyro is coming and shoots prematurely, exploding himself. Lastly, a little past tick 143,800 (put at 20% speed to see what I mean), he rocket jumps and then shoots the red spy without even seeing him for a full second. That's either some really good reflexes, or hacks. If after watching the demo and seeing these things isn't enough, then take note that he has VAC ban(s) on record. Demo Recording - https://www.dropbox....erriswheel!.zip Steam ID - STEAM_0:1:11042272 okay, being called a hacker is pretty flattering, but getting banned is just dumb. i don't what the guy who recorded and admin that banned me saw, because i watched the ticks that were brought to attention and saw nothing fishy. at 112,000, i saw the pyro go towards the stairs, so i predicted and prefired a rocket into the next door. i didn't even hit him, i timed it wrong. and at 143,800, i have no idea what you think you're seeing. i saw my spy friend on the ground, so i went for him. i don't understand why you think i need to have super reflexes to spot him. JoinedSenses 559 #2 Posted February 5, 2013 While I don't see anything in this demo that would be considered ban worthy, you do happen to have a VAC Ban on record...
aferriswheel 1 #3 Posted February 5, 2013 umm, my vac ban has nothing to do with tf2. and if you have a problem with people with vac bans, why don't you restrict steam accounts with vac bans from playing on your servers?
JoinedSenses 559 #4 Posted February 5, 2013 The Lotus community does have a low tolerance for cheaters. With that being said, there's nothing solid in the demo and I'd like to see an unban on this. If this comes back on the forums with cogent evidence, there will be no hesitation for a permanent ban. In the mean time, a global admin/staff will see to this request. aferriswheel 1 #5 Posted February 5, 2013 thanks for the help. just a suggestion, i think you guys should watch hackusation demos more closely, or at least have people that have experience with detecting cheats on these cases.
Nano 7,892 #6 Posted February 5, 2013 I could definitely see how someone would be suspicious, however I'm not convinced it's hacks and not just skill. Unbanned. P.S. Chastising our admins isn't the best way to approach an unban .
