Sky Factory 2

Anyone played this? Anyone interested in trying?

For those who don't know, SF2 is a modded version of minecraft where you have to 'grow your own world' - quite literally. You start standing on a tree, this tree is stood on a block of soil, in the middle of space. That's the whole map.

If you're interested, you can download the AT launcher here: http://www.atlauncher.com/

The start is simple, you cut down the tree, use the wood to expand to bigger land, you use the saplings to compost them and make more soil, you grow more trees, you continue to expand. You then start to acquire basic tools, like a sieve. You start sieving soil to get chunks of stone, you make cobblestone from this. You can make hammers, hit stone into gravel, sieve gravel to get fragments of iron, use that to make iron ingots etc. Simple things like making a furnace takes a long time.

Your main goal at the start is to get enough items to make an extruder. Extruder uses lava and water to make cobblestone, thus giving you the basis for unlimited cobblestone as you would in a normal world. Obviously getting lava is another challenge you need to overcome. If people are interested, I take take them through the start.

Magic crops are also included, which allow you to grow things like iron - which sounds great but it's a painfully slow process to get started. In fact it's a bit like humanities growth, the more you do, the faster the game gets.

Um yup, potato.
