Any admins in Lotus?

Why does Lotus have a !calladmin feature if none ever respond? Didn't Lotus just approve a new batch of admins/trainees, too?

Could be several reasons no one replied to your !calladmin.

 

They already could be answering a call, which is the most common things happening. Also not all of our admins are online right now, depending on location the amount of admins "patrolling" varies.

I've tried calling for admin about 5 or 6 times in the last couple weeks and not once has one answered. A couple times I then called again after the 20 minute cool-down ended and nobody came. Are they really ALL busy all the time? It was usually around 10pm EST.

 

 

We also have a Steam group for our admins that you can peruse to find out which of us are online. I don't mind a random add to take care of a problem if no one answers your initial call.

Do you have a link? I suppose I'll look through that, but wouldn't that defeat the purpose of the !calladmin function?

I'm not entirely sure to be honest. At 10pm EST (4am CET for me), I assume most of our EU admins will be asleep. Our NA admins should be online though, depending.

 

If you want, I can refer you to some of our NA admins?

um why did no one also bother to say.. if we cant help take a demo or a pic? you can post a demo name and ID in the Ban thread then we can take a look after. I know it might not fix the immediate problem if no one is around but at least if there is proof they can be banned later on :)

For hackers or serious problems, I do record a demo and send that off directly to one of the admins. For griefers (teleporter traps), I don't usually.

 

My question again concerns why nobody is ever available at the time via !calladmin, not my inability to get in touch with an admin at all.

Kris18 feel free to add me to your friends list if you need assistance. Most of my admin calls are from people on my friends list reporting the issues. If no one responds to a !calladmin, that just means no one is readily available, but it doesn't mean we don't have the help available.

I'm always online around that time, whether or not I am playing in a game or not. Even if I am in another game, I have stopped what I am doing to check things out in TF2 when they send a message. Even if it shows me online on mobile, that means I ready as well. Only reason I am online on mobile, is in case someone from my friends list does call.

I notice a gap in coverage early and late US times with !calladmin. If that doesn't work, check to see who is online, if no one is on, either take a screen shot of the issue or record a demo. If we get evidence posted on the forums of something that warrants a ban, they should be banned by the next next day. Although as Cola Kid said, it's not an immediate response.

Even though we brought in new admins, they are still going through a trial period and only have admin rights on select servers. I believe we have 4-5 North American global admins at this time including myself. In the next month or so, a couple of new global admins will be added to help cover NA. Even though you applied and withdrew your admin application, I would like you to reconsider once again if you'd like to help us out the Lotus community. If not I understand, but it would be help to add that cover in the late evenings.

!calladmin works through a group steam chat. Admins join the chat and sit in there until a call comes up while they are playing in TF2 already or maybe even in another game. If a call is not answered within a couple of minutes, probably means no one is in the chat.

@Sphagnum Peat Moss: I did specify in the reply, but it isn't safe to assume that since you log all chat, you know when people "!calladmin"?
