Deepy 0 #1 Posted November 11, 2007 The music in USA is reflected by the multi-ethnic population. The first music played was by the earliest inhabitants, the Native American Tribes. A lot of the modern popular music can be traced to the emergence in the late 1800?s, the African American Blues along with the growth of the 1920?s gospel music Punk was formed in the 1970?s as a form of rebellious rock, it was loud aggressive and very simple. It was started as a reaction against the period?s popular music, especially the arena rock and disco, the most famous American bands in the field included, The Ramones and Talking Heads, where the later one played a more avant-garge style, which was associated with punk before the mainstream New Wave evolved. In the 1980?s some punk fans and bands got disillusioned when the popularity of the style grew, and that resulted in a style that was even more aggressive and was called harcore punk, a form of sparse punk consisting of short, fast and intense songs that attracted the disaffected youth, in the metropolises like Washington D.C hardcore began. Although most American cities had their own local scenes in the 1980?s
