Confidence Man 0 #1 Posted February 21, 2008 So I was just playing on your badlands server, I had joined for only a minute or so when some dude with a 230+ ping accuses me of speedhacking. A couple minutes later I get banned by someone named sand? Normally I wouldn't even give a shit, as there are plenty of servers to play on, but that just fucking irks me to no end that some whiner who's lagging to hell can just throw out an accusation and that's that. I wasn't actually ingame so I couldn't check. Sand is not an admin by the way. Do you perhaps have any screenshots from this session? That would clear everything right up. So far I trusted the members who reported hackers and it never was a problem with banning reported hackers. In the meantime you can list your steam id and I will remove the ban. At the moment and in the last few weeks, we've been dealing with a much more abnormal amount of cheaters, most-probably due to the increased popularity of the server, and as a result, there's more of this crap to deal with, if I may put it bluntly. That mindset is most-likely shared with other regular members of the server that have gotten tired of speedhacks and aimbots, especially when an admin isn't around. Regardless, if indeed you weren't actually hacking, and it was simply player error in the reporting of such an event, then I think I speak for all of us when I say we apologize for the inconvenience.
