Mana 3,867 #1 Posted April 16, 2008 So here they are: The BlutsaugherFor players that earn one third of the 36 new medic achievements, they will be given a new syringe gun. Called "The Blutsaugher," this new weapon no longer has the ability to score critical hits against an opponent. Instead it will draw health from enemies each time a syringe hits. Especially useful as a weapon to retreat away from the fight while staying alive. The Critzcrieg Once a medic has earned two thirds of the achievements, they will be granted "The Critzcrieg." This new medigun uses its ubercharge not for invulnerability, but to give its recipient 100% chance to fire critical ordinance. Medics and the player they are charging need to be careful though, because as much fun as it is to fire critical rockets as fast as you can, the other team will see what you're up to and try to put a quick stop to your plan. The Ubersaw For the determined medic that has earned all 36 of the new achievements, they will find themselves the proud owner of "The Ubersaw," which will take damage done in melee attacks and convert it directly to ubercharge. Four hits with this new weapon will fully charge whatever medigun the medic has equpped. From: http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/52236 Medic Kamikazes shall be increasing now . Oh and I also read the first Achievement as "Buttslaughter" heh
DarkClaw 0 #2 Posted April 16, 2008 WOW, the awesomeness awes me... One thing though, there has to be a downside to the Ubersaw... I mean, too good to be true. It's a complete upgrade if it does nothing worst, and will mean that everyone will use it once they unlock it. Maybe less powerful? Maybe Valve should start explaining things a little more instead of wasting time on old games. Did you guys see the update today? They updated the HL1 Engine! WTF! shpadoinkle 2 #3 Posted April 16, 2008 The Buttsauger "adds 3 HP every time you hit an opponent." Yayyy. Maybe the future Scout achievements will unlock a jetpack.... and the Engineer can unlock a portable, flying sentry gun.

Out4Blood4 0 #8 Posted April 16, 2008 Hmmm. I wonder if they will just release the medic stuff or more with it. I am sure they made the name that way just for laughs. Medic with ubercharge + Medic with Critzcrieg charge + heavy = DOOM The downside your looking for may be the total removal of backstabs with bonesaw or ubersaw or both to make it fair. They should release hover-sentries as a mod or plugin.
Camail 1 #9 Posted April 16, 2008 Bonesaw is very hard to get good hits with, but I see in the future that the point will be guarded with melee medics. Thats an uber that could be charged in less time than an actual uber lasts. The crit medigun is very specialized though, I can't think of any instance where it is perfect at the moment. the buttslaughter gun seems very helpful though. And blood is right, if you get a medic to double uber and then get a crit uber for another one, it is esentiall an uber crit uber. Domination.
Doxt 1 #10 Posted April 16, 2008 what about ubering a bonesawing medic to earn another uber. Then giving that uber to the medic healing you so he can bonesaw to earn another. if they both have the upgrade.

Rambler 0 #15 Posted April 17, 2008 Wow, I'm actually glad I'm not a medic looking forward to the new achievements. Some of those are just insane. I guess in time though, they'll all get gotten.
Doxt 1 #16 Posted April 17, 2008 I want the batsplatter gun, I'll probibly medic enough to earn that, It sounds really useful.
Camail 1 #17 Posted April 17, 2008 I think 50% of these goals people will set up, as they are stupidly impossible, it looks like we'll hold clan games to upgrade our medics with everything possible....you can set up everything but the 10 million healed with the people we have. Also, a good medic never stays alive long enough to get 10k healed, if you do then you aren't on the front lines where you are needed. Valve fails at understanding there own classes yet again. Doxt 1 #18 Posted April 17, 2008 I don't know camail, I sit pretty close to the front lines and don't die. It's all about reading the play, the only reason I die is when I get sloppy.
DarkClaw 0 #19 Posted April 17, 2008 I don't think you have to get all 10k healing points in one life, more like over a period of time like that medic achievement we already have. 3000 healing points if I remember well.

DarkClaw 0 #22 Posted April 18, 2008 And the Blutsaugher, it was the needle gun that we saw. You can tell because the chamber usually holding the needles looks different, and the form is more sleek. Too bad they didn't show the ubersaw.
