Better Fps

Recommended Posts

For most purposes, my laptop is great. On maps like 2fort I get great fps. On bigger ones, like hydro, not so much. It's always 30+, but I can still feel the sluggishness. Lowering my dxlevel and mat_dxlevel, and of course the built in commands, did help. Does anyone know another way to boost fps (no OCing)

Uh... get new stuff?

I know of this program called TF2 tweaker, you can get it from download.com by typing in TF2. It lets you remove fps using effects, like ragdolls, bullet holes, etc.

It gets rid of the pleasures of the game though... but if you're really into it, go ahead. I'm too used to bulletholes and blood and stuff, so I didn't keep it too long. :P

Hmm, definitely never dip below 100.

My old system, I think I was around 30 when I played on 32 man servers. That sucked. I feel your pain dude.

Glad it's improved! Gameplay over graphics any day.

Heh heh. I get under 20fps on hl1 based games with 800 by 600 resolution and everything set to low. Just imagine TF2...
