Story Behind Steam Names

Seeing Spot's post about his name change, I was wondering what stories lie behind each of your steam nicknames.

Here's mine:

Back in like middle school i was obsessed with star wars, and my favorite character was Yoda. So, my nick was "Yoda." Well, the name Yoda was always taken when i registered for forums. So, I changed it to "DarthYoda" which was still taken. So it became "DarthCoda" which i shortened to Coda.

This has been my name since the beginning of my FPS gaming... the name just popped in my mind. And then I'm like, holy, that's a good name! So here I am now, about 5 years later, still using the same name

I was NeoNcP for a while because my name is Dion and the lift operators at a mountain I lived at always called me neon dion. cp is my middle and last initials. Everybody thought my name was neo tho (especially after the matrix came out) so I needed a new one.

Doxt is a pretty amazing story, I wanted it to start with a D and then just tried random combination until I found one I liked. I liked how it looked like a weird word but was easy to pronounce.

Uhhh I like turtles... and miniature things.... so, I like mini turtles. Oh and Doxt got me a ceramic turtle and a matching mini one when I was in the hospital, and it was soooo cute that I chose my name after that.

Well ok. Upon Coda's request, I will reveal the story behind my name. The Spot comes from the spiderman universe. He is just a normal average scientist guy, then experiment with dimensional portals goes wrong and he ends up with them all over his body. He can control the portals and move and diff. places with them and such. I always said that if I could have a superpower that this would be it. Here's an article about it for some more detail if anyone is interested. So there you go, thats my story. Not really too interesting. Just a nerdy comic book name.

Umm, I ramble a lot. My old Counter-Strike name was Mr.Boner, which I shortened to Mr.B whenever I needed to be taken a bit more seriously. I personally liked my TFC original alias, which was just a period.

Once I went to university, I changed my name to Rambler for most things because some of my friends started calling me that... due to how much I tended to ramble. Since then, I've sort of kept it up for forums, etc. I'm not big on the name for gaming, but whatever, don't really care.

Recently, I tried to switch to JonnyBags, which was a nickname I just recently acquired, and I felt that with my name in it, I'd eventually just change it to Jonny, and then Jon. But, it didn't happen, and here I am.

well after i installed the orange box on to my PC i was using eltonjesus69

as my nick. it comes from my email address, the 69 was added because i forgot my password to my original email address which was jus my name (elton jesus for those of you who haven't yet realized that that's my name), one day i got teased for bout my name, i got mad and thought of inflicting pain upon those who teased me, so i changed ti Mr Pain. I have thought about removing the mr but i guess i'll ju keep it for now.

"melissiablackheart", just something I use because it's fairly unique. No real story about it, at least none I wish to tell aside from references to a roleplay character I have of the same name.

It started way back when I first got into roleplaying. I had a demon character named Kenke and the Briman part came from school when I caught this kid that fell off the fire escape stairs. Everybody started calling me Briarman. I just shortened it to Briman and thats my username on alot of things. But once when Briman was taken I used Brimankenke and desided it was alot cooler sounding.
