Josh 18 #1 Posted June 10, 2008 Follow up on http://www.lotusclan.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=996 Asked the pro's they said either my motherboard is dead or I need to start from scratch.. I don't have XP on cd so I either buy xp which is being discontinued this year for $199 as the cheapest or a new motherboard aka still need xp.. and if I only buy xp and it is the motherboard im down 200 big ones.. I have always been the person who buys a older pc and upgrades it but I want to buy a new one for once.. So im looking at this pc which would be a big stepup from my current one for $1,187 http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Gamer_Infinity_8800_Pro/? Intel? Core?2 Duo E8400 3.0GHz ? DarkClaw 0 #4 Posted June 11, 2008 I have one thing to say: build yourself a PC so you can put better stuff in it with your tight budget like me Instead of paying them to do the work, do the work yourself and use that money to get better or more parts. prplhazed 0 #6 Posted June 11, 2008 i had fun building my own and are you planning to overclock much? cause liquid cooling is kinda overkill unless you are (although definitely a nice feature anyway)

Josh 18 #8 Posted June 13, 2008 Meh, another update, about 4 of the items i ordered in my pc including the case are out of stock as of now, they said they can have it shipped by the end of next week but i'm going to be leaving on the 24th for two weeks, they are to have it sent right before I get back and have it delivered the day of my return. By no means does this mean I want to cancel my app to Lotus and ill be back playing as soon as I return from Europe, until then Ill be active on the forums. Brimankenke 0 #9 Posted June 17, 2008 I got a new Vista about 2 monthes ago. Its what i've been playing TF2 on. It only took 15 minutes to install TF2 on that thing! And the 18" by 24" monitor is godly
Alucard winrar 0 #10 Posted June 18, 2008 Vista isnt bad, just expensive and needs a good comp so that shouldnt be a problem for you. The 8800 GT 512MB is a great choice, its what ive got and i love it. It just runs pretty freakin hot, so get rivatuner and ramp up its fan which runs at 29% for some reason.
