Anyone Ever Play The Css Sci Fi Mod?

Obviously you'll need CSS. It's SMOD but with CSS and a total conversion. It's more fun than normal SMOD. Lots more gore and uses an older build due to the CSS limitations.

By the way, does anyone know when Valve is going to start working on the CSS beta with steamworks? I'm getting tired of a really outdated version of the source engine and has yellow text everywhere.

EDIT: Upon further experimentation, it seems all you need is HL2 installed. It seems the 2.1 version doesn't need CSS.

That's odd. I dont even have CSS installed. I uninstalled it and all multiplayer games other than TF2. I only have HL2 and TF2 installed that use the source engine.

I dled SMOD, gave it a whirl today. Wasent bad at all. Took a little bit to get used to, the way health is distributed and learning the maps (I havent played CS since HL1 days). Lots of options, and certainly a change, if not an entire improvement, in the AI.

Download is less than 200mbs and its all self contained. Just install, choose options and play.
