McArti 0 #1 Posted March 18, 2021 Hi created a map in World Master for a few hours and when I want to save it, after a little loading time there only appears a Warning sign with no other Text or content. So I couldnt save it and all was for dump. But I will try again if you can tell me how to fix this? And how is it possible to scroll further away with the camera without making the map to disappear? Thanks!
PCs Headshoot 16 #2 Posted March 18, 2021 Thats the first problem all people run into. You need the following things to save your map (all things that are needed to actually play the game in skirmish mode, thats the problem): 1.) RICE - that's easy: just paint some rice ground and click the button to fill up all this ground with rice - voila 2.) WATER gather points - go to the paint water menu, choose a bigger brush and gove your map some water spots. Then smoove the shore ground a bit so you have no cliffs and peasants can walk some meters into the water. You can check this in the 'pathing' menu (this shows you where units can walk). Now you can set waterpoints automatically or manually in the 'place tag points' menu. 3.) HORSE spawn point - Go to the 'place tag points' menu - set a creature tag point (the red ones). Now right-click the point and choose as the animal 'horse'. 4.) STARTING POSITIONS - Go to the 'place tag points' menu again and set up the starting positions where you want them to be. 5.) All players must reach each other with their soldiers, so check if you have cliffs or unpassable water between them. That should work, its aweful that nobody tells you this enormous important things and you get just a blank error, in the future the worldmaster will be upgraded and this will not happen! If you still run into troubles feel free to ask.
PCs Headshoot 16 #3 Posted March 18, 2021 For your second problem: Go to 'Edit / Program Options'. Then set the 'Far Clip Plane' to maximum or just a bit below there if your PC is very slow. Then you can zoom out without making the map disappear.

So I know the points you tell me, but I didnt recognize the 5.) one. It could be that this was the problem. How could I check the passability again? To the 2nd question: Thanks I just found it in the forums here yesterday but thanks that you bring it here in this topic!
PCs Headshoot 16 #5 Posted March 19, 2021 Open the menu 'Define Path Data' (Shift +F3). Now choose Category: Walker in the drop-down menu and activate 'Display Passability'. Now all areas units can't walk on are shown red. Zoom out and check if all starting positions are passable and connected with each other.
