Mana 3,867 #1 Posted February 1, 2009 EDIT: Stats website is back up. It won't be much (if at all) faster than it was before but it should no longer slow down every time there is an update going. So if you type "rank" in server it *should* always appear even if it is updating at the same moment. If you can not see the stats website then it means your DNS hasn't updated yet, that should happen shortly. The Lotus Clan Stats website is currently down for maintenance. During this time stats can only be accessed from within the game servers themselves. Stats website should be back within 24 hours.

Chamrox 0 #6 Posted February 4, 2009 Thank you for keeping stats, it makes playing on Lotus servers fun. Attempting to raise your ranking can be maddening and rewarding! (especially maddening when a "new to Lotus server" player is actually an expert at his class and pwns you up and down the maps) haha:) I know just a little bit about databases, but I do know that the smaller it is, generally the faster it is. I guess the way to shrink the DB is to have less players to track. Fortunately the LC servers are very popular. (which makes them the best around imo) I'd recommend a weekly scheduled purge of player's STEAM ID's that have not logged in within 30 days. I would also recommend not keeping stats on players that have less than 10 total rounds played on Lotus servers. This may be more trouble than it's worth, but it would probably significantly decrease the amount of statistics tracked. I'm sure you've been over all these permutations, just saying that if server performance becomes an issue, I'd be willing to sacrifice tracking n00b stats. hahaha
