Kicked For 2 Computers Connected?

Recommended Posts

Hey all, just wondering if anyone has run into this problem. Oftentimes, when my housemate and I try and connect to Lotus Clan servers, one of the computers will connect, and immediately the other player will be timed out and disconnected from the server. Doesn't happen all the time, but we seem to be running into the problem once every day or 2 and it's a little annoying. Any idea of a solution, or has anyone even run into this before? My theory is it has something to do with our IPs being the same, but not sure.

It happened to me everytime I have tried to connect two at the same time.... I thought it was maybe because my internet connection could not handle the juice?

You have to change one of the computers to use a different port. Have whoever you're playing with edit his TF2's launch options and enter '+clientport #####' (without 's) where the port number is different than the one your PC is using.

yep, this ended up being the solution. found a more detailed detailed walkthrough at http://www.northernresistance.com/forum/sh...ead.php?p=51710 , but it basically says the same thing Miyari posted up there.

Thanks! :)
