{HeRo}GeneralDS 4 #1 Posted August 30, 2006 i have a new map again that is in the works, and it is an ambush map that the idea is based on the maze map, but this one is very different in design...it is set at sunset, and all the start points are by one or the other resource but not both...little building room is available, so small buildings that can be placed close together would be a good idea...and there are suprises at the empty dead ends..you can see the suprises on the minimap, but are they horses, or wolves? the center holds the larger of the rice areas, but one of the smaller water areas...and there is a suprise at that part too... watering the rice will be essecial to victory as there is little available...altho the person starting at the northeast spot may have an advantage, as they have 2 rice areas close by, one they start at and the other one a little bit away and with water, and have the shortest route to the center..the player at the northwest will have to fight through the other three to get to the center, and is at a disadvantage because they have the smallest building room...watchtowers are a good idea and should be placed strategically at different spots in the maze...i am highly against using kill the keep mode, because the start areas are way too small for a keep to fit in....this is a good map for famine and survival, because of the maze like structure...you will have a hard time guessing where the last building or the enemy troops are at, because of the way its designed...ill include a screenshot of it Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
