Spartan_0214 18 #1 Posted June 2, 2009 I'm not sure if this would be viable, but is it possible to build a Pandora plugin for the Lotus servers? I know Mana's considering adding GamerFM to the Lotus servers, which is fine. However, I'd prefer to be able to play Pandora while playing TF2. Currently you can run Pandora through the Community, but to pause it you'd have to open the Community again, pause it, close the community. You'd then have to repeat the process to play Pandora again.
Josh 18 #2 Posted June 3, 2009 Pandora isn't a normal radio station that is online. it's not a simple url that can be linked to a script since it is it's own script. I doubt anyone will ever have a steaming pandora script working other then they could sync it to a single pc and play it though shoutcast or something.. there is no plausible way to create it though w/o the company giving script information away to help which isn't going to happen. friedrice 8 #4 Posted June 4, 2009 How about just turn off the auto mute and I'll jam some tunes through. No script required
Spartan_0214 18 #5 Posted June 4, 2009 No script required for running Pandora through the Overlay. Turning automute off would be a bad idea.

Run a window and it takes no time for you to switch thumbs down or up a song, or skip to the next, without losing your display and taking forever for your game to resume back to normal. Unless you are saying you want to be able to spam your pandora channel to everyone in the server, when most probably do not want this done to them... The overlay uses Internet Explorer to display webpages, so I can actually play Pandora through the overlay and pause it much faster than alt-tabbing out and alt-tabbing back in. I was just wondering if there was a way to have a script that will connect to Pandora through your account and use certain buttons for the pause/play button and the volume button. I see, sorry about that then. That avatar is awesome Lol, I found it lurking on my laptop when I clicked the browse button. Thanks, if you are serious haha. Spartan_0214 18 #10 Posted June 8, 2009 I see, sorry about that then. No problem. If you're alt-tabbing out, I suggest using the overlay instead, as it sits idle in RAM and doesn't minimize TF2. Just remember that you're using IE6 (I think it's 6, could be wrong) and thus are a little more exposed than you are if you're using either IE8 or Firefox 3.0. Pandora is a safe site, tho, so just sayin'.
aph 0 #11 Posted June 8, 2009 I use Firefox and trust Pandora. I played window and my laptop works well enough for me to switch between windows fairly easily. Thanks though .
