Just started playing this game so I can play SH2 (which I actually own). Annoying controls, but really atmospheric. Where the hell did the roads go?

Weird, I watched that movie yesterday.. Is there a point to the game because the movie was pretty terrible. Hopefully the game has a good story line and it is not too similar to the movie.

The game was made eons ago... the movie was made like yesterday.

Quite different really.

Aye, the movie has nothing to do with the games, sadly enough.

The games are actually pretty decent, too. Not hardcore amazing..but something to waste time with, couple decent scares here and there and all that.

I've played most of the SH series. You don't really need to play them in order, they are seprate stories really. Well the 3rd was kinda a sequalish plot to the 1st one but you could play it without playing the first.

Personally I think Silent Hill 1-3(4 being the only one I havens played.) are a great series(Origns and Homecoming are done by U.S. devs and not the original team they are ok but not as good. They have that atmospheric horror and the way your character feels is like a real person with likable traits.

Silent Hill 2 tho is my fav. The game where Pyramid head debuted and became an icon of the series.

BTW don't think the movie and the games are on the same level. It was a loosely based plot of the first one that was pure and utter crap. Almost as bad as the Doom movie.
