Suggestion For Lotus Clan Arena

Hey guys, I have something to say, which I think is pretty serious, at least for hardcore tf2ers like myself. Before I begin I wish I could donate, but I rather have money for beer right now, with times so rough, ya need a drink. I've added the M in my name, and haven't joined another server in at least a couple month's now, and I've even invited a bunch of friends to join with us. My problem is, and it's embarrassing especially when I'm inviting friends to come play, is that normally, all the donaters are on red, so we team scramble, or auto scramble, or I just simply lose my spot because of a donater, and no matter what I'm fighting all the leet donaters, and the blue team just gets stomped on over and over repeatedly. In some cases peeps from blue team end up leaving, I like a challenge, I don't like winning over and over (I prefer red team now, Helps me heal better I guess, because red stands out more, and I am a little color blind, but red I can see) and I also don't like losing over and over again. Is there anyway we can fix this? Or maybe the donaters could just split up? Please doods.

well tbh, I much rather play Arena xD and most of the time it's an awesome server, but those late nights when the donaters are on...they just stay on red team dominating blue team for free stat points lol If we can just split up, the dragonfly will be very pleased. When of course it does happen, doesn't happen everyday. Lotus arena is my fav server, and the only arena server IMO.

Donating isn't going to fix the problem, but I would donate if I could. But donating isn't going to fix the server...what would my money go to? would it go to fixing the stats? How do I know my money would be going for a good purpose? If the server is still broke, I might not want to donate. Someone needs to step in and fix these issues..Eventually lotus will be no more xD One team will be all favored donaters (like it was last night), and the other team is going to be begging for a vote scramble, while the selfish donaters vote no on scramble, and while all the new peeps begin to leave, then the server begins to empty out. we gota do something man, I'm a regular, my time should be enough. I'll still stick by, but my patience is running thin. Dragonfly has spoken.

I lol'd at that part of your post. And for the record scramble never fixes anything. 1) The reason you stated-- they hardly pass. 2) When they do the donaters won't be moved because they're protected from autobalance. And if they are moved, a quick changemyteam fixes that.

But in all seriousness. How do you think the arena server you love to play so much stays up? Magic? No, it's from the money people so kindly donate to Lotus. Sometimes stacking is something you have to deal with. I've personally seen stacked teams lose quite a bit on occasion, and I don't think it is an issue with anything but skill. Donating doesn't give you AWESOME SUPER KICK ASS PWNAT0R skills or an in-game advantage (as far as just pure playing goes) over anyone else.

On most occasions when the team I'm on gets rolled over and/or loses, it's because of poor strategy and/or poor class balance. Or in arena case, probably lack of medics and more suicides.

Either way, stacking is going to happen. If anything for a while there I refused to donate just so I could play against them and get better. So when I won I knew it was a well worked for victory. But eventually I caved because I was tired of waiting 20 minutes to play with my friends. And speaking of friends, you'll come to find that those who are 'stacking' are mostly, if not always, friends playing together just like you and yours. Just with donater powers.

Anywho, we understand the concern (or at least I do) but beating stacked teams is possible with the correct balance and common sense from all players involved on the team. So you'll often find the arguments about stacking teams are invalid.

Sorry, but you have to at least see the server on the occasions in which I am speaking of to understand what I am talking about. I'm sorry but you have no say in this argument. First of all, calm down. I was actually being nice when I wrote it. And secondly no, I don't think I'm better than everyone else. Anyone who knows me can tell you that personally. I wasn't attacking you, so there was no need to attack me. Take your internet rage out on someone who will take your shit, because I won't. Figured I'd try to throw something with a bit more with understanding in here so you could see a bit of what I was trying to say. To understand the other side a bit more, especially considering I have been on the other side of stacking. Because stacking is unavoidable. We don't twist people's arms and tell them "OK EVERYONE GO ON THIS TEAM KK SO WE CAN PISS OFF PEOPLE ON THE INTARNETZ lololololol!11//" It's a choice they make personally. You're acting like donaters are some almighty gods with cash to fling in faces. 3-25 dollars isn't ungodly. Even I, a college student about to undergo surgery, without a job (though desperately searching) can come up with the money.

Eventually the changemyteam command will have a limit. So it can only be used once in X minutes.

Will fix Arena for sure... other servers... mhh not so much.
