Happiness 0 #1 Posted November 2, 2009 Hi guys, thought I would introduce myself on the forums (and if this is in the wrong section could someone move it please?). I've played TF2 for almost a year now and more recently realised that I am visiting the Lotus UK servers most often because the calibre of player is just right for me and there isn't the instant-respawn, double speed, bots or any of the other stupid things that are put onto 90% of the servers around! My steam name is Happiness, my real name is Michael and I have just graduated from the University of Leeds with a degree in Nanotechnology and now struggling to find a job since there aren't any around . In my spare time (which I have a lot of at the moment!) other than playing on TF2 and the other games I have installed (including L4D if anyone fancies a crack at that sometime?) I play a lot of football as well as a little tennis and squash. I am not looking to become part of a clan or play competitively, I like to play (badly ) for fun, but I would like to actually know a few of the people who regularly kill me and become part of the community. Thanks for the warm welcome, I might see what my connection is like to the US servers but I don't have high hopes - if you explode me into chunks I will use a high ping as an excuse . Happiness 0 #16 Posted November 4, 2009 Ok I just had a go on the US server and to my surprise the FPS is pretty decent 99% of the time so I might join you guys sometimes. It might surprise you but I actually found it a little bit easier game on the US servers than the UK and playing style was slightly different although I can't really describe why :S What sort of times (with timezone please) do the regulars get on so I can work out whether I can join up with you guys at all? Stocks 3 is for teh newbs, where people who think going Medic to help the team from rushes and ubering people to take down sentries is AIDS when it's really the opposite. Happiness 0 #21 Posted November 5, 2009 Had a go on stocks 1 and 2 now and yeah I think it's definitely easier - but that is not necessarily because of the calibre of opponent. Stocks 1 and 2 seem to have players more willing for team-play, which is a nice change from the UK servers where it's effectively 14 individuals (usually at least 6 of which are snipers or spies!) on each team, 1 or 2 of which will be lucky enough to have a medic healing them (due to little communication). Oh one other major difference is the exploding horse!? on the payload maps P.S. why has the majority of this thread been about rigormortis' anatomy? Stocks 3 is when I feel like just chilling and mostly screwing around, seeing as it's so easy to own there.
